  1. Ah ! I can smell the fragrance too. It’s heady with poignant emotions. It’s gone straight to my head. I can almost see her wafting along, her smiling face , her wind blown hair , it’s there , the picture o

    1. The title came from a moment of reflection, when I was reading the prompt. I thought, yes, that’s it; that says what I want to say. In fact, I was tempted to write the title as a poem with the simple title: fragrance. I am glad you love it that much. Thank you, Yassy. I really appreciate the time you spend on my blog and thank you for your genuine friendship.

      1. Nah, the title is so oooh ! Fragrance is so cliched ! Just follow your instincts , genuine is important, it always goes straight to the heart , just like your title here. Can connect so well here.

  2. Yes! I know just the scent. Petrichor. Amazing the memories that scents capture and return to us. I’ve been bowled over by the smallest hint of a particular fragrance as well. Beautifully worded πŸ™‚

  3. Great use of the prompt. Heavenly and earthly fragrance, now that’s a beautiful adulation of your love. Images of a celestial goddess and a mortal being encapsulated in one person is an ethereal one. One that deserves to be worshipped which you rightly do so. As Ryan has very rightly said, petrichor is a beautiful word and it stimulates the senses in such worldly and otherwordly ways which your words here have justified so beautifully, which I couldn’t have done perhaps. I could literally smell the freshness of the earth and it reminded me of a poem I wrote a while ago where I said “you taste like the rain”.
Beautiful would be an understatement here.
